Waterbury, CT (August 18, 2022) – As a world leader in compact linear and rotary motion systems, AMETEK Haydon Kerk Pittman (HKP), a business unit of AMETEK, is pleased to announce its Milford, NH plant recently achieved the milestone of 5 years without a lost-time accident, as defined by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
Under OSHA guidelines, employers with more than 10 employees are required to keep a record of serious work-related injuries and illnesses resulting in "lost time," or time away from the job. This information assists in evaluating workplace safety, understanding hazards, and implementing hazard protections. The plant's milestone means employees practiced safe work habits resulting in no lost time for 5 years – and counting.
"Five years is a significant milestone that was reached shift by shift, day by day," said Bob Browning, HKP's Manager of EHS and Facilities.
Milford Plant Manager Bob Wysolmierski emphasized the critical role safety plays at manufacturing sites, both at HKP and overall. "So many actions take place in a day in this type of environment, and it's imperative that we keep things running smoothly through proactive practices and quick responses to safety concerns," he said.
