Waterbury, CT – As a world leader in compact linear motion systems, Haydon Kerk Pittman, a business unit of AMETEK® Advanced Motion Solutions division, is pleased to announce plans for a new manufacturing facility in Penang, Malaysia. The plant is scheduled to begin production later this year.
Haydon Kerk Pittman continues to experience rapid growth with high market demand for advanced linear motion products in a variety of industries. The new 60,000-square-foot Penang plant will produce both linear actuators and rotary motors. Haydon Kerk Pittman is also expanding capacity in its existing production locations to further support customer needs.
With Southeast Asia one of Haydon Kerk Pittman’s largest growth areas, Malaysia represents an ideal location for the plant with its heavy concentration in high-technology businesses and strong pool of highly skilled labor.

Construction of the Penang facility began in April 2021 and completion is expected in July 2021, with initial shipments to begin during Fall 2021.
